Chapter 72.
                                       Tozzo to the rescue

When Tozzo heard of Carola’s arrest, he roared with rage; a monster out of control. He
single-handedly stormed the prison and demanded her release! You can imagine just how
quickly the prison warden, awed by Tozzo’s physical bearing and the sheer decibels of his
demands, flung open wide Carola’s prison bars.

So, when four hours later Tozzo had not been granted even an audience with Carola, let
alone her release, he finally understood that his yelling was getting him nowhere. A sharp man,
this one. His four hours of rage had taught him that all the self-righteousness of an Italian citizen
is not more powerful than a simple edict from a Duchess. And Carola remained in prison.
