“She’s holding some scrolls, is that what they are, or cylinders?”
         “Yes, they’re papyrus rolls, closed, the secret words on on them hidden from us. Behind
her, that’s a man working at an oven, or a forge. And who is this woman?”
         “I don’t know. One of the Muses?”
         Zaccario kept trying to keep Lorenzo focused on the artwork. “Look at the frame. Do
you see the shells?”
         “Shells, on either side, yes. And? She’s a fisherman’s wife, right? The man in the back
is baking fish for dinner?”
         “The seashells represent the Cappello family. That’s Bianca in the picture. She’s been
given secret scrolls, while there’s some sinister cooking going on in the background. Sinister
cooking such as alchemy. I posit...that’s me in the picture.”
         “Nice legs.”
